Sophie and Clarice are third year CAA students.  They are predominantly based in the 3D workshop at Folly Lane.  They've worked so hard these past few moths, they've produced some beautiful pieces, bodes well for their final show in June:-)

Foundation student Kiya has produced these beautiful pieces of work in the Small Metals workshop using tecniques developed on the streets of South America...Intricate and stunning.

Above is a small selection of woodcuts and linocuts produced by Mark from BA(Hons) Fine Art. This selection is based on Greek Mythology. During his time here Mark has become quite a craftsman at block cutting and printing.

New Jewellery for the New Year

Amy Jutsum's 'oversized' earring backs produce a striking neckpiece which really catches the eye! Each component is saw peirced out by hand (a huge task) and formed before being sent off to a Birmingham company to be gold-plated.

New Small Metals Workshop

After a move and re-fit, the Small Metals Workshop is up and running at Folly Lane.  We've more space for more students and better facilities to produce exciting and ground-breaking work in non-ferrous  and precious metals.  We're also looking forward to Ceramics and 3D being open in the coming weeks - watch this space.  Pop in and take a look of you're passing:-)

VACUUM BED HITS PRINT WORKSHOP

Above are a couple of examples of water-based screen prints that were produced on the vacuum bed. This press is specifically for printing onto paper and card which the vacuum holds in position while you pull your print. The examples shown are printed using the trichromatic colours which are over-printed.
