New Work

The 3D Workshop houses an industrial strength sand-blaster. It's used to remove the surface of materials such as glass,metal,wood and plastics. Below is an example of how it can be used to remove the glazed surface of ceramicc objects. The penguin is slip cast porcelain and was bought from a local charity shop; the design was masked off, using vinyl, (produced on the in-house vinyl cutter) and then blasted for approx five mins to expose the crazed, white surface below.
