Mike Gell
There was a good turn out in Small Metals last week when Mike came in to give his anual chat about 'Alloy' which is a Herefordshire based group of jewellers that he co-founded. Alloy has a graduate placement scheme which a number of HCA students have and still are benefiting from.

NEW FACES IN THE PRINT ROOM

Here is a selection of prints produced by two FE students. The dramatic linocut prints of people in blindfolds were created by Corinne Benniman (Foundation) and the rather fine drypoint prints were created by Owen Rose (ED1).

JACK'S DONE IT!

Jack Phillips ED2 has worked extremely hard to complete this large format 14 colour lithograph/stencil and card print in the manner of Andy Warhol. Well done Jack!
The casual observer would not realise just how complex and dificult a print like this is to produce as there are so many opportunities for it to go wrong. Concentration is the key.

MARILYN MEETS GEORGE. . .

Jack Phillips (ED2) has created this scary image of Marilyn Monroe morphing into George Osbourne in the style of Andy Warhol. The print was created using photo-litho and stencil prints. As with Warhol, there is a selection of different colours in this edition. Watch out for them in his final show.
