Anne Blades from CAA3 has been creating a body of work which involves inking large segments of trees which have been wire brushed and scorched to bring out the grain. She has inked a variety of blocks and printed them by burnishing the paper directly onto the surface of the wood. Anne has also incorporated colour into the designs by the use of chine collee.
Welcome to the Hereford College of Arts Workshop Blog. The workshops, run by specialist Technical Demonstrators, are a successful and integral part of the Art College. On the blog, you'll be able to see examples of work, images of the workshops in action and, from time to time, demonstrations of practical techniques.

Above is a sellection of prints from various courses from FE and HE. The top four prints were created by CAA 3 student Clare Sheppherd. The abstract figure was created by Viv Baraclough and the landscape was the work of Pauline Smith who are both on the Portfolio Course.
